The Electric Guitar Collection Vol.1 is a sample 3-CD set of a Fender® Custom Shop American Stratocaster™ electric guitar, recorded through a Fender® Deluxe™ tube amp. It contains single-note samples of the typical Stratocaster™ bell-like clean sound (bridge/middle pickup combination) (used on "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits or "Lay Down Sally" by Eric Clapton, for example).

In contrast to conventional sample CDs, this set contains much more samples per note than probably any other sample CD ever released, for great realism and in 24 bits/44.1 khz.

Chromatically sampled over more than 3 octaves, every semi-tone is available in 32 velocities, so you have 32 different samples of each note`s dynamic range.
The set includes ready-to-play presets for Steinberg`s® HAlion™ which are compatible with Native Instruments® Kontakt™. The files itself are wave files that can also be used with any other software sampler.

The sounds were recorded with a Universal Audio® 2-610™ tube mic preamp in real 24 bit quality through RME® converters and were very carefully processed with high quality TC® DSP-hardware to give them a very good basic sound, and in contrast to many other sample CDs, they come without a final mastering, so they will fit easier into your musical surroundings and won`t sound over-processed when your recordings will go through the mastering process.
