The demo track contains single samples of the 5-String Bass Collection.
The 5-String Bass Collection finally brings a real sounding 5-string bass to you: For the first time, the lush, full deep sound of a G&L™ bass is captured with its full dynamics:
Many other sample CDs offer you bass samples with, say, 4 velocities per note. A bass is a very dynamic instrument, and a groove won't sound good and lively if there's not enough dynamics!
That's why we captured 32 multisamples of each note. Everyone of the five strings have been sampled seperately, along with ghost notes of each string, also with 32 multisamples.
To get a very lush and warm sound, the bass was recorded directly through a Mindprint™ DTC® high-end preamp.
Recorded in 96 Khz and 24 bits resolution, the signal was downsampled finally to 44.1 Khz for normal use (16 bits in the Giga® version).
The set also includes ready-to-play presets for Steinberg™'s Halion® and Emagic™'s EXS24®, alternately in the Giga® format. "Light" versions of the presets are included, too.
No mastering process has been applied to the CD, so you don't get that over-processed sound of other sample CDs - just the great, deep, lush and full sound of a 5-string bass.
