The Real Cello Collection brings you probably the first real sounding cello sample CD:
In contrast to other sampled cellos, this CD offers you not only four or eight velocities per note.
Actually, Realsamples captured a cello with 32 (!) multisamples per note! A cello is a very dynamic instrument, and this is the only way to bring its dynamics to a sample CD. Pizzicato notes have been recorded with 32 multisamples per note as well.
Additionally to the "dry" pizzicato recordings, the cello is also captured in stereo with some "room" flavour, too, with 32 multisamples (Giga® version:.16 multisamples)
For the finest sound possible, the instrument was recorded using Mindprint™ DTC high-end preamps in 96 Khz and 24 bits resolution. The signal was downsampled afterwards to 44.1 Khz for normal use.
The CD set also includes ready-to-play presets for Steinberg™'s Halion® and Emagic™'s EXS24® or in the Giga® format. "Light" versions of the presets are included, too.
No mastering process has been applied to the CD, so you don't get that over-processed sound of other sample CDs - just the great sound of a great cello.
